Events

We have various events throughout the year and on the right you will see this month's planned events. Below are descriptions of some of our larger events that will be coming up.

Ice Skating

Sometime in February (to be announced) we will have $1 Ice Skating at the Rec Center (rentals will also only be $1). It's a great time to get a group of friends and hang out at the Ice Rink. If you need a ride, feel free to contact us.
There are usually around 100 students who come. DSU CRU rents out the whole place and its just for DSU Students. About half way through the night, we'll Zamboni the ice to make it nice and clean, while upstairs we will have some snack and someone sharing their story about how God impacted their life for 3 or 4 minutes. No obligation to come upstairs, but all are welcome. So be ready in February for some ice skating!

Country Dance

Picture
Every semester (normally in November in the Fall and April in the spring) we have a country dance. We rent out a location on the outskirts of Dickinson and have lots of country, swing, and on a few songs some line-dancing. We have seen literally hundreds of DSU students come out to the dance for the night. There are usually lessons beforehand for an hour for swing dancing, and then 3 hours of pure dancing. In the middle of the 3 hours we have a dance competition and one student who will share a little about how Jesus Christ impacted their life (around 5 minutes).

Spring Break - Free Food!

Picture
Stuck In Dickinson over Spring Break?
We know there are many students here at DSU who can't go home because it's too far away and don't have the money to travel all over for Spring Break. We also know the cafeteria doesn't offer any food. So, we're trying to help out a little with Cru: For four nights (Monday - Thursday), we will offer free food and a talk about the Bible each night. Come be fed both physically and spiritually. If you have any questions, contact us.

Summer Projects

I know, I know, you don't want to be thinking about summer yet...but...
One of the best ways to spend your summer is on a Summer Project! You can travel anywhere in the world for the summer. You get to join a bunch of other college students to reach out and share Jesus Christ for your summer as well as grow immensely in your faith. This will be a summer you will talk about for the rest of your life...literally. Check out Summer Projects here.
